9 am SUNDAY SCHOOL

Every Sunday, from 04/10/2016 to 04/24/2016, 9:00 AM - 9:45 AM

Elementary Classes

In April, we will learn about “Queen Esther” where the children will see how Queen Esther uses her position as queen and her God-given gifts to save God’s people. They will also learn that God can make ordinary people into heroes and leaders and how they can use their gifts to be everyday heroes. The classes will be held on April 10, 17, and 24. The lower elementary class will be taught by June Irvine, and the upper elementary class will be taught by Barbara H. and Barbara Festa.

Middle School Rite-13 Journey to Adulthood

Just in time for "spring fever," our class will be starting a new chapter on sexuality. Much to the relief of the students, however, there is nothing too embarrassing or provocative ahead. At this level, the focus is on gender issues, identity formation, equality and stereotypes. We will first delve into the book of Genesis with a dissection of the creation story and end with a discussion of what we like and dislike about each gender. This will surely be another fascinating lesson!
