TRANSGENDER DAY OF REMEMBRANCE - NOV. 22
St. Margaret’s will host the LI Transgender Day of Remembrance memorial service on Sunday, Nov. 22, at 6:30 p.m.
FROM THE TRANSGENDER DAY OF REMEMBRANCE COMMITTEE:
FROM THE RECTOR:
As mentioned last month, St. Margaret’s will be hosting the Long Island Transgender Day of Remembrance memorial service on Sunday, Nov. 22, at 6:30 p.m. Though we do not have a formal role with the liturgy, we have offered our space and learned a little about the service in last month’s Message.
In November, a speaker from the Transgender community will be coming to briefly share the history and purpose of the service at our Coffee Hour on Sunday, Nov. 8. I have offered to have her speak for 5-10 minutes and I hope you will make a point to be present and welcome her to our community. This is a great way for us to learn about this issue and to ask any questions we may have. I hope you will help us show our famous St. Margaret’s hospitality and come to learn and grow together. All are welcome for both the Coffee Hour and the service on Nov. 22.
