2016 STEWARDSHIP ARCHIVE

“LIVING GENEROUSLY”

2016 DECEMBER
A very big thank you to all who have committed to “living generously” and pledged their annual offering already. Just a friendly reminder that it is not too late to submit your pledge cards. Every pledge dollar helps us further God’s work in our church, the community, and beyond. St. Margaret’s will benefit greatly from your pledge for 2017. It takes contributions of time, talent and treasure from all of our parishioners in order for St. Margaret’s to thrive.

2016 NOVEMBER
"They rise in the darkness as a light for the upright; they are gracious, merciful, and righteous. It is well with those who deal generously and lend, who conduct their affairs with justice. For the righteous will never be moved; they will be remembered forever." Psalm 112:4-6

As you know, stewardship season is the time of year when we ask parishioners of St. Margaret’s to reflect on their giving to the church. Giving comes in many forms; volunteering time, sharing knowledge and skills, and giving financially. At this time, we are asking you to focus on your financial giving to St. Margaret’s. By submitting your pledge card, you affirm
your commitment to supporting not only our church, but also the programs and ministries that serve our parishioners and our surrounding community.

One goal for this year is to see pledges increase over last year. Your pledge dollars can further God’s work in our church, the community and beyond. Every pledge dollar is important.

I hope our theme “living generously” speaks to you as it has to me, and inspires all of us to pledge as generously as we can to St. Margaret’s this year. Please be sure to submit your pledge card during our ingathering service on Nov. 6, 2016.

St. Margaret’s can thrive if we all give generously of our time, talent and treasure.

“When we choose to live generously, we choose first and foremost to be grateful. Grateful to God for what we have; grateful to our families and friends for their love and support; grateful to our faith communities for their acceptance and challenge. Gratitude opens our soul to a fuller life because it opens our mind to seeing all that we have been given.” Richard Felton, Executive Director of The Episcopal Network for Stewardship

2016 OCTOBER
What does Living Generously mean to you? The theme of this year’s Stewardship Campaign is inspired by Psalm 112, which tells us that “good will come to those who are generous and lend freely.” Stewardship is a prayerful time for us as a parish to reflect on what generosity means in our own lives, both in what we receive and what we can give. It is important to our church for our parishioners to pledge and faithfully give to St. Margaret’s.

Without your pledges, planning for the ministries, programs, and needs of our parish can be challenging. One goal for this year is to see pledges increase over last year. Your pledge dollars can further God’s work in our church, the community and beyond. Every pledge dollar is important!

We’ll kick off our stewardship campaign on Sunday, Oct. 9Our Annual Ingathering Service will be Sunday, Nov. 6. You may put your completed pledge cards in the collection plate at any time during our campaign.

St. Margaret’s can thrive if we all give generously of our time, talent and treasure.

In God’s love,

~ Kim, on behalf of the Stewardship Committee
