OUR FALL FAIR IS ALMOST HERE. WE NEED YOUR HELP! Sat., Sept. 22 (9 a.m.-4 p.m.)


2018 Fall Fair postcard 

St. Margaret Church’s major fundraiser of the year is a FULL-PARISH EFFORT and we need your help!

Please sign-up on the Bulletin Board in the Narthex.

Bake homemade goods(pies, cakes and beer bread are big sellers), cookies, brownies, crumb cake, chocolate covered apples, fudge, quiche, or whatever you specialize in making.) Bring these in the day of the fair. Pick up clam-shell containers from Barbara Festa for easy packaging.

Sell as many raffle tickets as you can, and buy your own, too! ($3 for one; $20 for a book of 10). Grand Prize is $500.

Continue soliciting from local stores and restaurants.  Solicitation letters are in the Narthex.

Put flyers advertising the Fall Fair in your local supermarket, library, on community bulletin boards. Share our FB posts online, or post in any groups you belong to. Put flyers in your neighbors’ mailboxes. Remind friends and family. Cultural presentations this yearwill be by Japanese Taiko Drummers of Metro NYC, and our returning friends representing the BIBAK Northern Filipino cultural community. For collectors, we have a huge donationof Precious Moments figurines and Hallmark Christmas ornaments.

Prepare a basketf or our Basket Auction

Invite your friends, relatives, neighbors and co-workers to the fair!

St. Margaret's 2018 Fall Fair offers family friendly outdoor fun. Kids' activities, home-made food, entertainment, giant raffle tent, grand prize, activities for all. Mostly flat grounds, free parking.

June 2018:
St. Margaret’s 2018 FALL FAIR on Saturday, Sept. 22 will be here before we know it! Please plan to attend our next meeting on Wednesday, June 20 at 7:30 p.m. in the library. Your help and ideas are vitally needed as we plan for the day, and of course, we’re counting on your presence on the actual day of the Fair and the days leading up to it.

Our auction baskets are getting more attention each year, and we’re actively collecting items and beginning to assemble them. If you have anything new to donate, please do so. We can make almost anything work, and we are so grateful for all kinds of contributions! Spring cleaning is a great time to forward gifts you don’t need or use so others can enjoy them. To all those who are creating their own baskets, or donating money toward them, we can’t thank you enough! Because it takes time to set everything up, we’ll need all donated baskets in by Sept. 10. It takes each and every member of St. Margaret’s working together to make our biggest fundraiser of the year a success.

Our returning co-chairs for 2018 are Barbara Archer, Maureen Dilworth and Terry Padyk. Baskets again are being co-ordinated by Kathy Blyman.

This year's Fall Fair will be upon us before we know it! Please plan to be with us on that day to help in any way that you can. All help will be needed and appreciated.

Our first meeting will be Wednesday, May 16 at 7:30 p.m. in the Library. Please bring your thoughts and ideas for making this a successful fundraiser for St. Margaret's. We look forward to seeing you!
