NEW FACES
We welcome a new Deacon, a new Cemetery Co-Administrator and new Vestry members.
St. Margaret’s is adding new faces to the staff and leadership of the parish. In December, we elected a new class of Vestry members and a warden. The class of 2016 members are Anton Armbruster, Barbara Hagan (second term), and Cathy Marshall. Returning for a second term as Warden is Dan McGee. Please hold these leaders in your prayers as they help lead and guide the parish in new and exciting ways.
In November, we were assigned a regional vocational deacon by the Diocese. Deacon Anthony Jones is based at St. John’s Huntington, but will also be serving monthly at St. Margaret’s and St. Lawrence. You will see him serving liturgically once a month, but he will also be inviting us into pastoral ministries. Look for a fuller introduction to Deacon Anthony in this Message.
In November, the Vestry approved the addition of a Co-Cemetery Administrator to share the administrative workload of long-time employee Edith Alfieri. As the Cemetery has grown, not only have the administrative needs expanded, but the on-call needs have increased as well. In order to more realistically cover these expanding needs, we added the position of Co-Cemetery Administrator as a job-share. Please welcome Debbie McGee as our new Co-Cemetery Administrator. Though these past six weeks have involved extensive training and mentoring, eventually Debbie and Edith will split time in the office over the course of a week. Please welcome Debbie to the staff and be patient with us as we live into this new arrangement.
