EUCHARISTIC VISITORS

Communion is available for members at home or in a care facility

Do you know of anyone unable to attend church who would appreciate receiving Communion? Three parishioners recently completed Eucharistic Visitor training at Mercer School of Theology. Anton Armbruster received his training in late 2015. Jane Ames and Barbara Hagan took their class, taught by Deacon Anthony Jones, in April. Eucharistic Visitor is a relatively new designation. In years past, Lay Eucharistic Ministers were trained to distribute Communion at both church liturgies and outside visitations. Today, St. Margaret’s is blessed to have a total of eight parishioners who serve at weekly worship as Eucharistic Ministers.
