A PERSONAL REFLECTION

Be present to the Holy Spirit, in good times and bad.

Becoming a steady, committed Christian requires just as much practice as learning to play a musical instrument, becoming an accomplished artist, or to be a capable athlete in any sport.

Coming to church each Sunday and joining in various ministries (acolyte, choir member, usher, altar guild), plus reading the Bible regularly and maybe participating in study groups, are all ways in which to grow one’s faith.

The time to do that is when life is going well, so that when the difficulties arise (and they may at sometime), we have a strong faith in and relationship with God on whom to lean.
