CHRISTMAS OUTREACH THANK YOU’S

As most everyone knows, the Outreach Committee received information about 12 families for Christmas 2016 from the local school district. Due to your extreme generosity, we were able to provide substantial gift cards to each family. We received a number of “thank you” notes and are happy to share them with you:

“Before departing for the holiday break, I wanted to take a moment to thank you, your Outreach Committee and your congregation for the extremely generous donations to our families for the holiday season. Those giving the gifts to the families have expressed how overjoyed and thankful they have been. Please know that you all made 12 families’ holiday so much brighter. It has been a pleasure and the highlight of my year working with your parish to make this all happen.

I wish you and your congregation a joyous and wonderful holiday and best wishes for a healthy and happy New Year.”

Dear Parishioners of St. Margaret’s Congregation,

“I am writing this letter to thank you for sending these gifts to our family for Christmas. My guidance counselor gave me your gift with a big smile on his face because he knew these meant a lot to me. I called my stepmom immediately and told her about what you did for us. My father was recently laid off from his job so he doesn’t have enough money to buy gas all the time. We used the gift cards to purchase gifts for everyone in the family. This Christmas was one of the best moments in my life because I haven’t been able to celebrate for almost 10 years since money has always been an issue. None of this could have been possible without the generosity of each and every one of you wonderful individuals. I believe that I am truly blessed to be in your care.”
